This year, the light art experience takes a culinary twist, featuring three locations where visitors can savor delicious offerings from fantastic food trucks, mainly run by local entrepreneurs from Almere. ALLUMINOUS is a feast for all the senses, inviting you not only to see and hear the art, but now also taste the festival. UTOPIA ISLAND

The Snack Boutique – We serve up fresh fries in a paper cone, nothing more. This simplicity has been our hallmark for over 25 years. Our fries are made from the finest potatoes from Flevoland, carefully selected by the farmer for quality and size. We cut these delicious potatoes into thick fries, which are then fried in vegetable oil. Enjoy our golden, crispy fries served in a cone with a selection of homemade sauces.

Hungry Jack – Imagine strolling around the Weerwater in Almere, captivated by the light artworks, when suddenly the irresistible aroma of grilled meat and savory sauces wafts your way. You’re not just hungry; you crave a burger experience that will make your taste buds dance with joy. The answer to your craving? Hungry Jack's food truck, the destination for the best smash burgers you’ve ever tasted. Prefer a classic Sloppy Joe? You’ll find that here too. Our unique flavor combinations, crafted with only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, are sure to surprise your palate and satisfy your appetite.

Cup of Beans – Need to warm up with a little treat during this magical walk? At Cup of Beans, you can indulge in not just the best coffees, but also Hot Chocolate, Chai Lattes, or a delicious warm Glühwein paired with a selection of sweets to recharge for your journey.

At Poffertjes, Sweets & Snacks to Share, we offer the most scrumptious poffertjes, sweets, and snacks imaginable. Step into our sweet world and let an abundance of flavors pamper you, perfect for sharing with friends, family, or just yourself. Craving something savory? We have a range of delicious snacks, from mini spring rolls and crispy dumplings to flavorful samosas.

Hete Pieper – Come grab a bite at Hete Pieper! During ALLUMINOUS, you can find us at Archerpad. Order your baked potato and enjoy it on our terrace - a well-deserved break! Our basic baked potato is freshly prepared with olive oil, salt, and pepper, served with sour cream, iceberg lettuce, and nachos. “Load” your potato with our homemade toppings, with options for meat, fish, or vegetarian. Don't forget to add some freshly made guacamole, tzatziki, or salsa!

Ibu Spekkoek – Using grandma Ibu's recipe, Ibu Spekkoek bakes and creates both original and various flavored “spekkoek”. During ALLUMINOUS, we’ll be serving freshly baked slices of “spekkoek” from Ibu’s food trailer, paired with delightful tea, espresso, cappuccino, and other coffee options - a tasty stop to warm up during your light art stroll.

MAASTRICHTKWARTIER - STEDENWIJK

Crêpes Roulotte – Crêpes Roulotte is back at Maastrichtkwartier this year, and we can’t wait! From our nostalgic caravan, we whip up fresh French crêpes, topped with your choice of sweet or savory fillings. We also serve hot dogs with delicious smoked sausage, customizable with sauerkraut, pickles, jalapeños, fried onions, and your choice of sauces.

Coffee Mati – Your best coffee friend in Almere! At Coffee Mati, you can enjoy the finest barista coffee and specialty teas. What’s a warm drink without a treat? We specialize in three authentic and incredibly tasty homemade delights: chocolate coconut cake, vegan muffins, and eksi kuku (egg cake). 

VerTruckelijk – VerTruckelijk Almere started three years ago as a dream of two young entrepreneurs, just 19 and 22 at the time. What began as a small food truck quickly became a well-known name in Almere. Thanks to their passion for good food and creative entrepreneurship, they soon expanded into a successful catering venue and a lovely lunchroom. During the light art festival, they’re bringing this experience back to their roots: the food truck, where you can enjoy gourmet sandwiches, tasty wraps, fresh cookies, and refreshing alcoholic beverages.
