The festival is a celebration of human interaction where people step out of the mundane and embark on a journey of discovering new frontiers. It is a place where people come together, free from societal constraints, forming a tribe whereby they intuitively transcend into a higher state of being. A state of love, passion and desire, where everything is abundant and in harmony. Though sometimes things can get fiery and wild, we carry this experience with us for the rest of our lives.
About the artist
Iwan Smit
Iwan Smit is a remarkable artist who started his career with an interest in drawing. After studying Illustration and Fine Arts, he started painting and eventually developed the three-dimensionality of his images in sculptures and light works. His work navigates between heavy themes and lightness, often resulting in colorful worlds with a dark twist. Creating is a way for Iwan to channel events and feelings from the past and explore notions of fear, mortality and legacy. He attempts to understand the world by blending his own experiences with collective beliefs, often questioning mythological symbols and their representation to create his own stories.
