MOFINGU shows how digital technology sees humans. On the LED screen you see how data that a depth camera makes of your face is translated into point clouds: a 3D mirror in which points create a spatial map of your face. Data that imitates you. Interaction with MOFINGU is a game of looking and being looked at, while digital faces of other visitors distort with your own face. It shows that viewing art is playing with digital stardust: entering a flexible technological universe that you become part of for a moment.

MEET THE ARTISTS:
WERC Collective
(consisting of Olav Huizer, Joachim Rümke and Jelle Valk) creates interactive technological installations that are about the convergence of science, nature and humanity. What if technology is not the black box we often fear, but a technological organism that you can release into nature? In this way, technology becomes a poetic and living natural phenomenon, emotionally challenging as part of a new technological biosphere.

QUOTE FROM THE ARTISTS:
WERC Collectief:
You and everything around you are laboriously made of building blocks. They are atoms, but at MOFINGU they are voxels. These voxels move and form themselves to you, and every other visitor. In this way, you become one with everyone who came to see MOFINGU before and after you.

MEET CARTE BLANCHE:
Carte Blanche produces, programs and presents. It supports and serves new makers and new audiences in various disciplines and genres: art, music, fashion, dance, theater, club & more.

MEET KUNSTMUSEUM M.:
Kunstmuseum M.
is a museum for immersive art and land art. M. is a place where everyone is welcome to experience art, without having to know anything about art.

The presentation of the artwork MOFINGU was made possible by Kunstmuseum M. and Carte Blanche.
