What does the human being of today look like, and how do you make light art out of it? That is what the artists asked an A.I. artificial intelligence program. The answer was both recognizable and yet also worrying. Humans are tech zombies, shuffling through the world and time, with their attention always focused on the screen of a smartphone. Perhaps A.I. recognizes us better than we can: bodies that slowly grow together with technology, in a constant bow over their smartphones. Slowly our spine becomes an extension of the internet. We evolve into a mob of artificial humans.

MEET THE ARTISTS:
Collective Atelier Haute Cuisine, originating from Belgium, was founded in 2009 by Bernd Tyskens and Benny Conings. Contrary to what their name might suggest, they make everything but food, namely art and design objects. The artwork of Atelier Haute Cuisine is presented in collaboration with Light Art Collection.

QUOTE FROM THE ARTISTS:
Bernd Tyskens & Benny Conings (Atelier Haute Cuisine):
To create a contrast between the use of the latest AI technology and our own human input, we used classic molding techniques to make fiberglass prints of our own bodies.

Artificial Humans is part of the Light Art Collection.
